Favorite cycling memory/memories:
1. Riding from San Antonio to Austin on a cool, sunny day with a tailwind!
2. Hundreds of cyclists were allowed to ride on 3 lanes of the 6 lane periferico (or highway) each weekend in Mexico City when I was in high school. We can only dream of an experience like that here!

Worst cycling memory:
Waiting at a stop sign for traffic to clear and watching two pit bulls charging at me from a house across the street - one heading for my left leg and the other for the right. Fifteen feet from my frozen body, one was hit by a car and killed, the other ran. God does answer prayer!

All time favorite ride/route:
1. Holland 100!!
2. The flat roads in Texas - -heading home with a tailwind.

Cycling advice and tips:
By now you know I love tail winds! Start your ride into the wind and head home with it at your back. Sounds simple, but it's a lot more fun.

Mint chocolate chip

Preferences:
Campy over Shimano
Steel frame/carbon fork over aluminum, carbon or titanium

Watermelon! Bananas! Japanese peanuts!

Favorite song to have stuck in my head during a ride:
"Majesty" we sing it in church, but the words come to life for me on the road
