Favorite cycling memory/memories:
1. Riding to Grand Haven and back from Grand Rapids on the Schwinn LeTour II in nylon running shorts and high top tennis shoes.
2. My first pair of cycling shorts and discovering later you don't wear underwear with them.
3. My first self supported over night bike trip on the San Juan Islands in Washington State.
4. My first trip to Moab Utah.
5. Riding the whole Kokopelli trail after three tries.
Worst cycling memory:
1. The saddle sore from the San Juan trip.
2. The van ride on my second Moab trip.
3. The third day on the Kokopelli trail.
4. The 24 Hours of Boyne in the rain (or just the 24 Hours of Boyne) and fighting of mosquitoes while changing a flat only to find out that my spare tube was no good and having to ride home on a flat tire in the dark.

Miguel Indurain, Big Mig, the Spanish Train because he was a cycling machine that got it done and got it done with style and class.
